Profile

Dorothy Coop

Dorothy has over 15 years of tax and financial experience. Prior to starting her own firm, Dorothy gained most of her experience at two Chicago firms, Topel Forman LLC and Blackman Kallick (now Plante Moran). Dorothy has diversified federal and multi-state compliance and consulting experience with domestic corporations. She also provides income and trust tax planning for high net worth individuals. Lastly, she works closely with small business owners and their S Corporations, Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies. She understands the struggles and nuances of small businesses as she and her husband recently opened a health and wellness practice. She believes these go hand in hand – a company cannot be financially healthy if the owners and employees do not invest in their health and well-being first.

Dorothy is a member of the AICPA and was a member of the Flow-Through Entity Committee, via the Illinois CPA Society. She belongs to several networking groups in order to connect her clients to individuals and companies, if they need assistance in other aspects of their lives or businesses. She enjoys being a co-leader of the local chapter of the Holistic Moms Network as well as staying very active with her children’s school and activities of her three young children.
